• What happens when I die?

Rest Assured has a 24-hour bereavement line which is used when a plan holder passes away. Your next of kin will contact this number (found in your funeral plan pack) to notify us. We then contact the funeral director and they have direct contact with your family throughout this difficult and emotional period.

  • Can I choose a cremation or a burial?

If they exceed this, then there may be more to pay.

If you wish to be buried, you should also consider that our plans do not contain a provision towards a burial plot. You can make an allowance towards this if you wish or speak to our customer services team and we will help you with the process.

Prepaid funeral plans are easy. You simply decide on the type of funeral you want and then prepay the cost of your selected funeral director’s services. So, there are no rising costs or hidden charges to worry about. By paying upfront, you effectively freeze the cost of a funeral, ‘locking-in’ the cost at today’s prices.

  • How do funeral plans work?

A prepaid funeral plan is a plan where you pay either a lump sum or instalments to the plan provider, or to a funeral director. The money you pay goes into either: a trust fund with trustees or Into an insurance policy, which is then used to pay for the funeral whenever that turns out to be. The aim of both methods is to safeguard your money until it’s needed, ensuring you are not affected by rising funeral costs in the future.
